The Department conducts experimental and theoretical research on chemical reaction dynamics and the structure and properties of substances. Research subjects include theoretical and experimental study of electron-transfer reactions; study of gas phase reaction dynamics and its application to explosion hazard prediction; observation of reaction intermediates by high-resolution spectroscopy; magnetic field effect on chemical reactions; analysis of inorganic, organic and polymeric materials by NMR; development and analysis of electro-conductive and photo-functional complexes; and computer simulation on chemical problems.
