Department of Polymer Engineering

The research activities of the Department are mainly focused on fundamental and innovative technologies for developing and utilizing functional polymer and polymer-based materials. Polymer engineering is essential not only for the design, synthesis, evaluation and development of materials, but also for the processes and systems that use the materials for practical purposes:
  • Computer-aided design for polymer and polymer-based materials
  • High-performance polymer composites and their physical properties
  • Autonomously responding polymers and polymer gels
  • Membrane technology and functional polymer surfaces.
