We tried to concentrate a dilute furfural aqueous solution using supercritical fractionation technique which used a reflux column with temperature distribution and supercritical CO_{2} as a solvent. The reflux column worked well to concentrate the furfural far above the azeotropic composition of 35 wt% furfural solution. Furthermore the furfural concentration in the effluence could be predicted satisfactorily by the material balance of CO_{2}, H_{2}O, furfural and the flash calculation with the Peng-Robinson equation of state.
