In previous papers the present author reported of carbon materials obtained from polyvinyl chloride and concluded that the s-unpaired electrons in the "cis" configuration are the origin of carbon ferromagnetism. In the present work, triphenylene, chrysene, and violanthrone have been decomposed first in CCl4 atmosphere and then in a vacuum, preventing their sublimation. The carbon molecules obtained from triphenylene and chrysene do not exhibit a typical ferromagnetic property while the carbon obtained by violanthrone gives a typical ferromagnetism. Since its impurity level is low, this seems to be the first ferromagnetic carbon materials of arromatic hydrocarbon origin.
