Using a metal-oxide-semiconductor gas sensor, we measured the concentration of odor gas (triethylamine) presented continuously. Two conditions of the gases were examined. In one condition, concentrations of odor did not change during 10 minutes, and in another condition the odor fluctuated between 0 to 20 mL/2L every 30 seconds. The results were that the gas sensor needed a few minutes to stabilize after concentration changes started, and the sensor could not follow exactly large or brief fluctuations. The gas sensor, however, responded very quickly when concentration changes started and response values were very reliable after they became stable.
