Separation of Lipids in Non Aqueous Solutions by Asymmetric Polyimide Membranes with Solvent Resistance

D. Kitamoto, H. Hashimoto, T. Nakane, K. Haraya, and H. Yanagishita
[Proceedings of Euromembrane'95, Vol. 2, pp. 358-361 1995]

The asymmetric polyimide membranes with high solvent-resistance were prepared by the phase inversion process. The membrane (molecular cut-off performance: 35,000) were used to separate the mixture of phospholipids and triglycerides. The two lipids were completely separated with a high flux of n-haxane by using the membranes.
