@@As part of the administrative reform of the Japanese government, National Institute of Materials and Chemical Research (NIMC) will be reorganized into National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) as of 1, April 2001 .
We hereby announce the discontinuance of the Journal of NIMC. Therefore, the enclosed volume 8, number 4 hereby is the final edition of our Journal.
