Changes in Optical Transmittance of Ultrafine-particle doped Glass by Nitrogen Oxide Gas

Akira Yabe
J. of NIMC. Vol.4, No.3, pp.105-119(1996)

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is one of the most attractive polymers in industrial applications because of its excellent thermal and chemical resistances, low surface energy, and low dielectric constant. However its application has been limited due to its processing difficulties. Newly developed photon processing using new photon sources such as excimer lasers has opened various advanced techniques for etching, thin film deposition, and surface modification of PTFE. This report describes the photon processing for enhancement of performance and function on fluorocarbon resins, referring to current topics by around 90 papers.
